When it comes to conditioners I've never really found The One, nor have I been loyal to any particular brand. I've always been on the search for a conditioner which checks all the boxes, leaves my hair frizz free, manageable, shinier and noticeably softer. I opted for the Tara Smith Working Curls Conditioner, this brand has intrigued me for a while as its vegan and free from 'nasties'. After doing some research I love the story behind this brand and their mission.  Most of the conditioners which I have tried which have been paraben and silicone free have never been anything special. However, this was different from the first wash. I noticed a change in my hair, but that can be said for most hair products you've used for the first time. So I continued to use this and continued to be impressed. My hair was noticeably softer, it was easier to comb through and tangles weren't so knotty. My hair is quite wavy and this product did a great job of keeping the waves without being frizzy. It basically made my hair sleeker than Chad Le Clos' butterfly finish. Did i really just compare a hair product to an Olympian? 

This is my second bottle of this conditioner and I have thoroughly tested it. I've tried it with different shampoos; different leave in products just to see if this was te product which made the difference to my hair. It definitely is! You can buy Tara Smith products from M&S beauty halls which are where I get mine. I'll most definitely be buying more from this brand as I've never been so impressed. Within the blogosphere I haven’t heard much about this brand, but I hope that changes very soon. The packaging is beautiful and stands in a display surrounded by boring white bottles. With all the boxes ticked, this might just be The One!?

JASON Shampoo

When it comes to shampoos and conditioners I try to buy ones which are silicone and paraben free. I find this works better on my hair. Shampoos containing silicones and parabens usually weigh my hair down and make it look greasier quicker. Over the past couple of years I have tried many different 'natural' shampoos and this is one brand I keep coming back to.

JASON hair care

JASON are a natural company which was established in 1959! They sell a range of products including skincare and body care. I can't say I have tried many of those, however their shampoos I've tried almost every single one. While mooching on feel unique one day I came across JASON shampoos and was intrigued immediately by the fact they contain no parabens, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates or phthalates. I ordered one and the rest is history. Since then I have been trying every different shampoo they offer from the Super Shine Apricot (a personal favourite) to the Vitamin E shampoo. I like to have at least one bottle in my bathroom cabinet at all times as I know this shampoo I can trust especially when others have let me down e.g left my scalp dry.

When it comes to paraben free shampoos I have tried many brands. Some are very over priced and not worth it at all. There's a common preconception that 'natural' equals more expensive. However this is not the case with JASON shampoos. Firstly, the price is very reasonable especially taking into account the size of the product. They range from around £6.29 for 473ml. The only thing I've found with these are that they require a little more product to create a lather. The range they offer is also quite generous, your bound to find one to suit you hair type, from thickening and strengthening to completely fragrance free. They clean the hair well not stripping the hair leaving it dry. They are well worth a try especially if your thinking or ditching paraben and silicone laden products.

Pantene Pro-V BB cream - 7 in 1 hair perfector

I'm sure we're all thinking the same thing, another BB cream, seriously? The main difference in this case is that its for the hair not face. Pantene are using the term BB cream loosely and using it for the multi-use aspect rather than the conventional beauty balm. Pantene make some serious claims with this product which are reminiscent of the 'its a 10 leave in conditioner'. It claims to provide strength, shine, smoothness, lightweight nourishment, hydration feeling, damage repair and resilient tips.

I can say it did leave my hair softer, more manageable and provided a more 'finished' result. I saw more of a result with this product than some other leave in creams which are more expensive and provided nothing results for my dry ends. I've used this on both damp hair and dry hair and it did not leave my hair feeling or looking greasy which is always a win. The packaging is convenient with the pump. The scent of this is divine and lingers in the hair which during the windy winters makes it more bearable when my hair comes flying around my face. All round this is a great product, I would have preferred it if they didn't call it a BB cream but I'm willing to let that go as it did provide my hair with a professional finish and at a drug store price (rrp £6.99)
